Agreeing to These Terms

By using Petmoria, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site. We know that sounds harsh, but it's just how terms of service work!

You need to be at least 18 years old to make a purchase, or have permission from a parent/guardian.

What Petmoria Is

Petmoria is a digital mural where you can:

• Purchase space on our grid to celebrate your pet (living or passed)
• Upload a photo and story about your pet
• Be part of a community of pet lovers
• Support animal welfare charities (we donate 25% of pet celebrations)

Your celebration stays on the grid permanently (as long as Petmoria exists and you follow these terms).

Content Guidelines

When you upload content (photos, stories, etc.), you're telling us that:

• You own the content or have permission to use it
• It's actually about a pet (not a joke entry or random image)
• It doesn't violate anyone else's rights
• It's appropriate for all ages

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines. If we have to remove your submission for policy violations, refunds are handled per our refund policy.

Payments & Pricing

All prices are displayed in USD. When you make a purchase:

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Your grid space is reserved immediately
• We donate 25% to animal welfare charities (30% for business sponsors)
• Prices may change, but your purchase is locked in at the price shown at checkout

Charity Donations

We donate a portion of every purchase to animal welfare organizations:

• Pet celebrations: We donate 25%
• Business sponsors: We donate 30%

You can choose which charity we donate to during checkout, or let us distribute it across our partner organizations. We're committed to transparency about where our donation goes - check our Charities page for details.

Your Content & Our Rights

Your content stays yours. You keep ownership of any photos or stories you upload.

By uploading, you give us permission to:

• Display your content on the Petmoria grid and website
• Show it in the gallery and world map features
• Use it in promotional materials (like "look at this beautiful community!")

We won't sell your content or use it in ways that don't relate to Petmoria.

Limitation of Liability

We're a small, family-run project doing our best. Here's the legal stuff:

• Petmoria is provided "as is" - we can't guarantee it will be perfect or always available
• We're not responsible for any damages from using (or not being able to use) the site
• We do our best to keep the site running, but things happen
• If something goes wrong with your submission, we'll work with you to make it right

Basically: we'll always try to help, but we can't be held liable for everything that could possibly go wrong in the universe.

Account Termination

We can remove content or refuse service if:

• You violate these terms
• You upload inappropriate or harmful content
• You try to abuse, hack, or harm the platform
• You're generally being a jerk (yes, that's a technical term now)

We'd rather work things out than ban anyone, but we reserve the right to protect our community.

Changes to These Terms

We might update these terms occasionally. If we make big changes, we'll post a notice on the site. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

For major changes that affect existing purchases, we'll do our best to notify you via email.

Legal Stuff

If there's ever a dispute (hopefully not!), these terms are governed by the laws of the United States. We'd prefer to work things out directly rather than involve lawyers - just reach out and let's talk.
